Ingredients:
1 lb | Hamburger |
1 | Small Onion, chopped |
1 clove | Garlic, minced |
½ tsp | Salt |
1 tsp | Italian Seasoning |
½ tsp | Dried Red Pepper Flakes |
1 jar | Spaghetti Sauce or 3 C. Homemade Sauce |
1 lb | Pasta, cooked |
1 cup | Cottage Cheese |
2 cup | Mozzarella |
Directions:
Brown hamburger,
onions and garlic; drain. Return to pan and mix with spaghetti sauce.
Stir in salt, Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Heat through.
Reserve 1 c. sauce and set aside. Stir in cooked pasta to remainder of
sauce. Pour 1/2 the pasta into a greased 4 qt. casserole dish. Spread
cottage cheese over pasta. Sprinkle with 1 c. mozzarella. Pour
remaining pasta over cheese. Top with reserved sauce and 1 c.
mozzarella. Cover and bake at 350° for 30-40 min. Remove from oven and
let sit for 5-10 min. before serving.
Of course, you can always add whatever your family likes in their traditional lasagna - mushrooms, sausage, ricotta, spinach, etc.
